Sysbraykr.com News- Bjorka, a hacker who caused a stir in Indonesia a few years ago, is back in the spotlight. This time, the target of the cyber attack is the data belonging to the Directorate General of Taxes at the Ministry of Finance.
It is reported that at least 6 million Taxpayer Identification Numbers (NPWP) have allegedly been leaked. Among the leaked data are those of President Jokowi, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, Kaesang Pangarep, Erick Thohir, and Sri Mulyani.
Information regarding this data breach was released on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, through the official account of Teguh Aprianto, founder of Ethical Hacker Indonesia. He revealed that the 6 million leaked data entries were being sold for 150 million rupiah. The compromised data includes National ID numbers (NIK), NPWP, addresses, phone numbers, emails, and more.

The leaked data includes NIK, NPWP, addresses, phone numbers, emails, etc. The NPWP of Jokowi, Gibran, Kaesang, the Minister of Communications, Sri Mulyani, and other ministers were also leaked in the sample provided by the perpetrator," Teguh Aprianto wrote on his official X account.
Alongside the post, Teguh also attached screenshots showing the cybercriminal on Breach Forums. The screenshots indicated that the data leak was posted by Bjorka in September 2024.
In response to the alleged incident, the Directorate General of Taxes at the Ministry of Finance, via its official X account, issued a statement saying that its technical team is currently investigating the matter.
"In connection with the information about the alleged data breach circulating on social media, Taxmin would like to inform you that the Directorate General of Taxes' technical team is currently investigating the matter. Thank you," the statement read on the @DitjenPajakRI account.
