sysbraykr.com news - HackerKamp150, under the auspices of SysBraykr, partnered with the Computer Science Student Association (HIMAKOM) of Gadjah Mada University to organize a seminar with the topic of Bug Bounty.

In brief, Bug Bounty is an activity where hackers search for security vulnerabilities in websites, mobile applications, or infrastructure. Bug Bounty programs are often launched by companies, institutions, or organizations, offering rewards to hackers who successfully find security flaws in specific areas, such as websites or mobile apps.

The event took place on Friday, September 13, 2024, at the Computer Science Program of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Gadjah Mada University, and was attended by 53 seminar participants.

The event began with an opening guided by the MC, followed by welcoming speeches from the General Manager of HIMAKOM and the Head of the Computer Science Program. The main session then started, featuring a 45-minute presentation by Haykal, a member of HackerKamp150. His presentation covered an introduction to Bug Bounty, Bug Bounty platforms, tips and tricks for Bug Bounty, as well as the Mantra platform and HackerKamp150. The session concluded with a Q&A and the distribution of door prizes as a token of appreciation to the participants. The participants were visibly enthusiastic, engaging by asking several questions.

By presenting the topic of Bug Bounty, the seminar aimed to provide students with an opportunity to earn extra income without interfering with their studies. Additionally, it sought to enrich students' portfolios by offering hands-on experience in the Bug Bounty field.

Several Bug Bounty platforms were mentioned, including international platforms such as HackerOne, Bugcrowd, YesWeHack, Synack, and Intigriti. In Indonesia, platforms like Cyber Academy and Redstorm.io are available.

Moreover, the seminar served as an initial step to introduce the HackerKamp150 training program to the public, especially students interested in learning about cybersecurity outside of campus. More information can be found on the hackerkamp150.com website.

The seminar was highly appreciated by the Head of the Computer Science Program during an informal conversation after delivering his opening remarks. He expressed his hope that the event would inspire students to become more active and engaged than ever before.
